I think one of my favorite desserts are definitely brownies. These are fudgy and the perfect consistency. This is the only brownie recipe that I use and I swear by it! There are no better brownies out there. I add semi sweet morsels for that little extra kick.

I had to try these. I tried them a couple weeks ago and because my oven kind of runs waaaaaay hotter degrees than most ovens (I have no idea what’s wrong with it, it’s just been this way since I moved here) and I didn’t have any chocolate chips to throw in the batter, they wound up cakey and dry and the edges were too hard…but I could tell they had the potential to be awesome brownies if I could just get them right (The first time I baked them I sampled the batter and found it to be better than any brownie batter I’d tasted from any boxed mix, so I knew you were onto something). So I made them again today for a friend’s birthday and this time I added a cup of milk chocolate chip morsels, and reduced the heat of my oven to 250 (which is probably really more like 300 on most ovens) and baked them for nearly an hour, and they were awesomely perfect. Everyone said they were delicious and the best brownies they had ever eaten. Thanks so much for the recipe. Maybe next time I’ll try semi-sweet instead since these were waaay sweet.
