Really, that Dorie Greenspan is brilliant. She has the best recipes and they appeal to everyone.. especially me! :] I never really liked blondies, but maybe that’s because I’ve never tried these ones. They remind me of the chocolate chip pizookie at BJ’s, believe it or not. Anyways, I added walnuts to these because chocolate and nuts have to be one of the greatest combinations ever created. Just in case you didn’t pick it up, blondies.. brownies.. get it? Blondies are a cookie in brownie form, basically. Everyone that’s tried it so far loves it! Now I know what to bake for big events.
Apple Bundt Cake
Apple Bundt Cake. I love the apple/cinnamon/sugar combo. I also threw in some walnuts for a little crunch. Bundt cakes are so easy and pretty to make! Everytime I say that word, “bundt,” I can’t help but to think of My Big Fat Greek Wedding. Haha, So good! Anyways, we have a bunch of apples & bananas at our house and I figured why not bake something out of it. Plus, I’ve been a slacker on baking/posting lately, so I owe it to my blog. Here’s to April!
Banana Nut Bread
Talk about March madness. I’ve just been baking like crazy lately! Maybe it’s because of the amazing weather, the excitement of going to Japan in a week and a half, and the will to finish my third 25 pound bag of flour. I wake up in the morning and bake, I bake before I go to bed, and then all the rest of the time in between, I’m thinking about what to bake next. This morning, I made good ol’ classic banana bread and played with the ingredients. It came out pretty good, but I’d probably take out a banana next time. It came out very dense and I prefer light, fluffy breads. I got a few more subscriptions to my baking mailing list today and am super stoked! Thanks everyone for the support and don’t forget to spread the word! :]
