These cookies are usually a hit with just about everyone. It has the perfect amount of candy without being overly sweet. It also qualifies as a crunchy/soft cookie, so it pleases both crowds. Score!
Banana Nut Bread
Talk about March madness. I’ve just been baking like crazy lately! Maybe it’s because of the amazing weather, the excitement of going to Japan in a week and a half, and the will to finish my third 25 pound bag of flour. I wake up in the morning and bake, I bake before I go to bed, and then all the rest of the time in between, I’m thinking about what to bake next. This morning, I made good ol’ classic banana bread and played with the ingredients. It came out pretty good, but I’d probably take out a banana next time. It came out very dense and I prefer light, fluffy breads. I got a few more subscriptions to my baking mailing list today and am super stoked! Thanks everyone for the support and don’t forget to spread the word! :]
Oatmeal Cranberry White Chocolate Chip Cookies
My mom asked me to bake something with oatmeal cause it was “healthier.” Hey, whatever your excuse is to eat cookies doesn’t matter to me as long as you eat them! The cranberries made it especially healthy, lol. I think that the combination of ingredients in this cookie work together to bring out all the great individual flavors. I couldn’t stop eating the cookie dough, but hey, what else is new?
I forgot to add, I’ve been using a new camera recently starting with the post about my kitchenaid, and I absolutely love it! Who knew taking pictures of food could be such an expressive form of art? My dad gave me his Nikon D40x (he updated to the Nikon D80) and let me tell you, it’s quite the monster. I’m such an amateur when it comes to photography, especially with a camera like this (there are endless functions that it is capable of doing that I have yet to learn!). So yeah.. you can count on an upgrade of the quality of my pictures from now on. :]
