Winter Bucket List + Coca-Cola Life Giveaway

December 27, 2014 by kim 24 Comments

With the holidays practically flying by (four days left until the new year!), I created my very own winter bucket list for things that I want to get done this season. Some of these are traditions from years ago and some of them are brand new. Either way, each “to-do” item allows me to spend time with the people that I love. That’s the most important part!

  1. Every year, I bake my most popular cookies: chocolate chip, snickerdoodle, and white chocolate macadamia nut.
  2. Try out (at least) one new recipe.
  3. Pick up some warm drinks and go Christmas light gazing!
  4. Put up and decorate the Christmas tree.
  5. Go ice skating.
  6. Watch “Elf” and “Love Actually.”
  7. Visit the snow (weekend trip?!).
  8. Go to a Kings game.
  9. Read a book by the fireplace.
  10. Send out holiday cards.
  11. Learn how to knit a beanie.
  12. Bake and decorate sugar cookies.
  13. Decorate the fireplace mantel.
  14. Hop into the jacuzzi when it’s less than 50 degrees out.
  15. Make s’mores.
  16. Put together an entire puzzle (no easy 100 piece ones, either!)
  17. Try a new restaurant.
  18. Borrow books from the library.
  19. Drink hot cocoa.
  20. Go on a picnic and enjoy some Coca-Cola Life!

I grew up drinking Coca-Cola and this is a great alternative for a something a little lighter. Coca-Cola Life has only 60 calories per 8 oz bottle and is sweetened with natural cane sugar and stevia leaf extract. It also has 35% less calories than other leading colas. Coca-Cola Life was designed to provide consumers with simple yet sweet moments of refreshing uplift throughout their day.

For more information on Coca-Cola Life, you can visit their page here.

My friends over at Coca-Cola want to share the love and give one lucky reader the chance to try Coca-Cola Life! They’re giving away a Coca-Cola Life sampling kit, which includes a t-shirt and a six pack of 8 oz Coca-Cola bottles (as pictured above). All you have to do is enter via the Rafflecopter below:

I’m still getting a ton of emails about links not working, so I wanted to do a round-up of my most popular posts. That way, you can find the recipe that you’re looking for. The search bar on the top right of my blog is also very helpful when it comes to finding a specific recipe. I’ve updated the recipe index (and alphabetized it!), too! Hopefully you find something to make! xx

1 // welcome home brands oven safe paper bakeware – these are great to bake and give away as gifts, straight from the oven!
2 // keep calm & bake on apron – i received this as a gift from my bestie last year and i adore it. it’s lighter than a normal apron, but that’s perfect for me since i don’t do anything too heavy duty in the kitchen.
3 // frieling brotforms bread dough rising basket – these baskets are wonders for beautifully shaped and baked homemade bread.
4 // silpat perfect cookie mat – baking sheets with outlines, just in case you need a little help with where the cookie dough goes.
5 // 360 cookware large stainless steel cookie sheet – because every baker needs quality baking sheets!
6 // 14k solid gold whisk necklace – i’m obsessed with this whisk necklace. 14k gold makes it a gift she’ll remember!
7 // silpat perfect pretzel mat – how fun are these silpats? i used to bake pretzels all the time. this mat will help me get back into it.
8 // creme brûlée chef’s professional culinary torch with fuel gauge – playing with fire is acceptable in the kitchen when you’re making creme brûlée.

1 // custom engraved cutting board – these make wonderful gifts (housewarming, wedding, engagement, birthday…). i’ve purchased quite a couple from this etsy seller already and can personally attest to how well crafted they are.
2 // kuhn ikon box mandolin and grater – the more use that you can get out of an item, the better. this one gives you the ability to store your food after grating/slicing.
3 // kyocera ceramic cookware – i use my 10 inch frying pan the most. storage is also a cinch since it’s light and small(er).
4 // vitamix 5200 – i received this as a wedding present from my mother in law and use it every single day. seriously. it’ll easily be the most versatile tool you have in your kitchen.
5 // magnetic kitchen timer – i’m constantly using timers when i cook. these ones will keep track of time for you while sprucing up your refrigerator.
6 // kyocera 8” professional chef’s knife – knives are big for a cook. no one wants to spend time worrying about dullness or durability.

entertainer

1 // jura impressa z9 – every time that i walk into my kitchen, i can’t help but stare at this godly machine. it’ll whip up any espresso drink that your heart (and guests) desires.
2 // martha’s entertaining: a year of celebrations – when all else fails, ask martha.
3 // picnic time pioneer picnic basket – my weird obsession with picnic baskets never stops. this one’s unique and roomy!
4 // old dutch solid copper moscow mule mug, set of 4 – you need these for your bar. who doesn’t like drinking from a copper mug?
5 // tribest mason jar personal blender – i get so much use out of this little blender. you can whip up quick individual drinks for each guest and give it to them straight from the mason jar. you can even make a quick batch of fresh salsa for the chips that someone brought.
6 // capresso iced tea maker – be prepared for guests. you’ll need a lot of refreshments.
7 // kuhn rikon flexi slice and serve – last but not least, don’t forget the utensils for cutting up pie! we all know there’s going to be some at your party.
