Talk about March madness. I’ve just been baking like crazy lately! Maybe it’s because of the amazing weather, the excitement of going to Japan in a week and a half, and the will to finish my third 25 pound bag of flour. I wake up in the morning and bake, I bake before I go to bed, and then all the rest of the time in between, I’m thinking about what to bake next. This morning, I made good ol’ classic banana bread and played with the ingredients. It came out pretty good, but I’d probably take out a banana next time. It came out very dense and I prefer light, fluffy breads. I got a few more subscriptions to my baking mailing list today and am super stoked! Thanks everyone for the support and don’t forget to spread the word! :]

My mom has been rotting some bananas to make bread– I’m so excited.
Where are you going in Japan? I went to Nagoya. It was SO big and crowded, and it’s only the third biggest city… I don’t think I’d want to go to a bigger place.

Having ingredients to use up is the best!
I’m going to the heart of the country, Tokyo. I’ll be staying there for 9 days and am SOOOO excited! I’m sure it’ll be so crowded but I cannot wait to see everything and experience a different culture. I absolutely adore traveling and want to see the world! I went to Vietnam a couple years ago and let me tell you, that was crazyyy crowded. Everywhere, all the time… But it was still beautiful and a great experience!

I was only there for two days (half a day, a full day, and another half day)… it was a crazy trip, and I wish I could’ve stayed more. I’d love to see pictures of Tokyo, if you take any and post them somewhere. 🙂 Have fun!
