I’m grateful for my DB for a lot of things… for his sense of humor, his hard work, his honesty and commitment, but I’d have to say one of the most important things is for introducing me to a heavenly parsley sauce called chimichurri. Dear Lord, that stuff is amazing. Now, whenever I go to an Argentine restaurant, I make sure to ask for chimichurri every ten minutes. True story.
Buenos Aires Grill is one of my favorite spots to go because of the laid back environment and authentic Argentine food. The french bread that they give you is always served warm and toasty. And the chimichurri? To die for.
Come to think of it, chimichurri is kind of a funny word. My DB and his cousins always make fun of me for saying it. Apparently, I don’t say it right.. the way Argentines say it. Chim-ee-churr-ee. I’ll work on it.
Mine: Vegetariano Sandwich ($5.99) -Grilled marinated egg plant, roasted red peppers, fresh avocado, mixed spring lettuce, tomato, onions, provolone & mayonnaise. (Except I got it with no mayo)
DB’s: Chicken Milanesa Sandwich ($5.99) – Thinly Breaded Chicken Breast Sandwich with lettuce, tomato & mayonnaise.
My favorite dinner item would have to be the Alfredo Pasta with Salmon. They only have two locations (one in Northridge and the other in Woodland Hills), but don’t let that stop you from making a trip there!

chimichurri sauce is TO DIE FOR!
i went to Argentina over spring break earlier this year and i was so overwhelmed with how delicious the food was. i pretty much ate chimichurri with just about every meal.
i have to say though, the best Argentine dish i had was a lomo a la mostaza at a little restaurant called desnivel in the san telmo district. if you are ever in buenos aires, check it out!!! i highly recommend it.

I had the chance to visit Buenos Aires the last year, and it was amazing. I went in the summer season, when everybody is walking in the streets, taking a sunbathe, drinking Mate (prepared from steeping dried leaves of yerba mate in hot water) and Terere (an infusion of yerba mate with prepared with cold water), riding a bike, running in the Palermo Forests, eating Choripan (grilled chorizo and a crusty bread) and empanadas, I visited the city, when everything is just perfect. I took a Bike City Tour and also a Walking City Tour, and it was awesome, each one of these tours has their own appeal, which shows a different face of the city. I book both with an online agency call http://bsas4u.com/ and I had a fascinating experience in this magical city that I will never forget.

Chimichurri IS the greatest!! It’s pretty easy to make too if you have a food processor and an abundance of parsley 🙂 If I have a batch sitting in my fridge I like to spread it on steak sandwiches before putting them in the panini press, yummm….
