Really, that Dorie Greenspan is brilliant. She has the best recipes and they appeal to everyone.. especially me! :] I never really liked blondies, but maybe that’s because I’ve never tried these ones. They remind me of the chocolate chip pizookie at BJ’s, believe it or not. Anyways, I added walnuts to these because chocolate and nuts have to be one of the greatest combinations ever created. Just in case you didn’t pick it up, blondies.. brownies.. get it? Blondies are a cookie in brownie form, basically. Everyone that’s tried it so far loves it! Now I know what to bake for big events.

I was going to bake my dad’s favorite: everything cookies, but we didn’t have any walnuts handy. Bust! So brownies it was; who doesn’t love fun colored candies on top of brownies? As if there was such a thing as too much chocolate… These brownies ended up being EXTRA thick, probably 2 inches tall. After all, the best kind of brownies are the ones that with the soft gooey, center!
Rainbow Cupcakes.
So I decided to experiment a bit with food coloring. I made 5 different batches of colors and then dropped them into the cupcake liner, one spoonful of each color at a time. They turned out so pretty; The surprise is when you cut them in half because you get all the colors at once! It’s easy to do and the results will “wow” guests. I’ve been baking so many cupcakes recently because I have so many different kinds of sprinkles that I want to use.
