Oh man, I’ve never introduced the love of my life! It’s my bright green kitchenaid that I adore so much. This probably should’ve been my first post because it really is the core of all my baking. I baked cookies last week without using my machine (cause it was at home) and I realized how much of a weakling I really am. Bust! It makes baking much easier and a lot more fun. I got it a little over a year ago from my parents, and I got to choose the sweet color. It’s been by my side ever since. :]
Archives for February 2008
First batch of mailed baked goods.
Ta-da! They’re getting shipped out tomorrow, so the ones that have paid already and signed up, you should be getting them Friday. There’s a bit more than a dozen in each pack (two different kinds of cookies), so now you know what to expect! I’ll probably be decorating the bags different each month. :] I also bought a personalized stamp for next month! I’m so stoked. If you still want to sign up, email me at:

I’m also doing vegan ones, too.. if enough vegans sign up (I just need four). It’s $12 per month for the vegan subscription because the supplies cost a bit more for vegan goods. You can look here for that flyer… (sorry it’s kinda blurry!)

YES YES YES I DID IT! legit cinnamon rolls!
Okay, as most of you know, I’m not normally a fan of baking a bread that has to rise. Mostly because it takes so long and I don’t like dealing with yeast. I’ve tried two different cinnamon roll recipes before and have failed miserably, but I guess third time’s a charm. This recipe was seriously… amazing. I didn’t even use my kitchenaid mixer!! Can you believe it?! I kneaded this baby by hand. I’m not gonna lie though, I kinda cut down with the rising time simply because I don’t have the patience to just sit there for bread to rise. Who does that?
Freshly cut and placed into the pan to let them rise again for another 30 minutes.
Out of the oven!
And glazed. Finito! These made the apartment smell absolutely wonderful. 🙂 Next time, I’ll attempt making sticky buns.. basically, same dough recipe with a different glaze. Delish!
